Solutions for processing of small diameter trees and big rods
Who may need such solutions?
- Primary and secondary wood using industries in areas where big diameter trees are not available;
- Businesses intending to decrease waste amount and increase lumber recovery percentage;
- Companies specializing in posts & poles manufacturing;
- Producers of log cabins, garden sheds, gazebos, play grounds;
- Businesses relative to forest “commercial thinning”;
What are benefits of the solution?
- High productivity
- Small diameter trees, tree tops and big rods can be milled into lumber, posts or poles;
- Semiautomatic production process;
- 2 operators (1st for log in-feed, 2nd for out-feed);
- Possibility to produce different lumber & timber;
- Reliable and robust;
- Easy replaceable tools;
- Customizable and adjustable tooling;
What does the solution include?
- Primary part of the solution is LTPS-125E or RLM-160S (RLM-100) machine;
- Surrounding roll tables, log decks;
- Generator (if there is no 3 phase hydro available);
- Arunda tenoner can be useful for those who intends to use milled timber for building purposes;
- Log carrying equipment such as forklifts, etc.
What is difference between LTPS-125E and RLM-160S?
- RLM-160S has rotary (ring) type milling head. This allows manufacturing of poles with round profile.
- Additionally RLM-160S has spindles with cutters for forming of different profiles on top and bottom sides of output products. (RLM-160S also has ability to “ripsaw”).
- Basic configuration of LTPS-124 allows manufacturing of lumber or small timber only, although the machine has 4 spindles (similar to 2 sided planner) which can accommodate special tooling for milling of different profiles on top and bottom sides of the output products.
